His look is super interesting, kinda mysterious, but also powerful. He’s got a spear and a lantern that’s buzzing with Electro energy. It’s clear that HoYoverse is setting him up as a major figure in both the lore and the battlefield.
Flins’ Expected Release Date in Genshin Impact
So, when can you pull for him? Based on leaks and HoYoverse’s usual update pattern, Flins is expected to debut in Version 6.0, which is slated to arrive on September 10, 2025.

Since he was revealed right after Lauma, there’s speculation that he might not appear in the very first banner but rather the second phase of 6.0.
Either way, it’s safe to say Flins will headline the Nod-Krai launch alongside the new Archon Quest, making him one of the most anticipated banners of the year.

Flins Genshin Impact Full Kit Breakdown

And next, let’s get into what matters: how Flins plays. His leaked kit paints the picture of a fast, electrifying DPS who thrives on chaining reactions with his Lunar-Charged mechanic.
If you enjoy fluid combos and heavy AoE bursts, Flins looks like he’ll be right up your alley.
- Normal Attack – Pocztowy Demonspear: Flins pulls off up to five smooth spear strikes, and if you hold for a Charged Attack, he hurls his weapon forward for some extra impact. Standard plunge mechanics apply, too, but you’ll be leaning more on his special skills.
- Elemental Skill – Ancient Rite: Arcane Light: Flins enters Manifest Flame form, which changes his normal and charged attacks into Electro-infused hits that other elements can’t override. In this state, he unlocks Northland Spearstorm, a skill that sends out a barrage of spears, dealing AoE Electro damage. It’s quick, powerful, and sets him up for some serious reaction chains.
- Elemental Burst – Ancient Ritual: Cometh the Night: His Burst is a showstopper. Flins unleashes the lantern’s hidden power, blasting enemies with multiple waves of Lunar-Charged AoE Electro DMG. If conditions are met (such as nearby thunderclouds), he can extend this Burst into a special form called Thunderous Symphony, which costs less energy but still packs a punch.
In short, Flins thrives on keeping enemies locked in Electro storms while boosting Lunar-Charged reactions, making him a high-value DPS or reaction enabler.

Flins Signature Weapon
Of course, a new five-star needs his custom spear. Flins comes with a signature polearm that’s practically built for his playstyle:

- Base ATK: 674
- Secondary Stat: Crit Rate +22.1%
- Special Effect: After using an Elemental Burst, Lunar-Charged damage gets a massive boost, and triggering Lunar-Charged reactions increases CRIT DMG while restoring Elemental Energy.
HoYoverse designed this weapon with Flins in mind. The Crit Rate stat helps him hit harder without over-relying on artifacts, and the passive lines up perfectly with his Burst-centric gameplay.
Sure, other polearms will work, but if you want to maximize his potential, this spear is the one to aim for.
Flins Materials in Genshin Impact

If you’re already planning to pull for Flins, then it’s never too early to start farming his upgrade materials.
Like every 5-star, you’ll need a mix of regional specialties, boss drops, talent books, and of course, tons of Mora.
So, below is a quick look at everything you’ll need for both his ascension and talent upgrades.
Flins Ascension Materials
To max Flins to level 90, you’ll need the following:
- Vajrada Amethyst Series (Sliver ×1, Fragment ×9, Chunk ×9, Gemstone ×6)
- Frostcup Flower ×168 (a new regional specialty in Nod-Krai)
- Drive Shaft Materials: Broken ×18, Reinforced ×30, Precision ×36
- Precision Kuuvahki Stamping D-uck-ie ×46 (world boss drop)
- Mora ×420,000.
That’s a hefty amount, but the biggest grind will be the Frostcup Flowers.
Since they’re region-locked, you’ll want to explore Nod-Krai as soon as it’s released to start gathering them.
Flins Talent Materials
To make Flins more awesome, you’ll want to focus on leveling up his Talents.
Each Talent needs specific materials to be “crowned,” so if you’re looking to max out all three, just remember to triple those material needs!
- Broken Drive Shaft ×6
- Reinforced Drive Shaft ×22
- Precision Drive Shaft ×31
- Teachings of Vagrancy ×3
- Guide to Vagrancy ×21
- Philosophies of Vagrancy ×38
- Eroded Sunfire ×6 (weekly boss drop)
- Crown of Insight ×1
- Mora ×1,653,000.
Prioritize his Elemental Skill and Burst first since those are the core of his kit.
The normal attack chain isn’t his main selling point, so you can safely leave that for last.

Genshin Impact Flins Constellations
Thinking of really beefing up Flins beyond just his base C0? His constellations seriously power him up and make him a blast to play.

Just like with other 5-star characters, grabbing duplicates on his banner to unlock those constellations can eat up your Primogems.
But the huge boosts at certain levels could be worth it. Let’s see what each constellation does:
C1: Part the Veil of Snow
This reduces the base cooldown of Northland Spearstorm to four seconds. On top of that, whenever your party triggers a Lunar-Charged reaction, Flins regenerates seven Elemental Energy.
This constellation is all about comfort; shorter cooldowns and better energy generation make his rotation feel less clunky.
C2: The Devil’s Wall
After using Northland Spearstorm, Flins’s next Normal Attack deals bonus AoE Electro DMG equal to 50% of his ATK. This damage counts as Lunar-Charged, which synergizes with his passives.
Even better, enemies hit by his Electro attacks have their Electro resistance reduced by 25% for seven seconds. This is a huge spike in overall damage and makes him much deadlier in team comps.
C3: Stranger in the Night
Boosts the level of Flins’s Elemental Burst by three, up to a maximum of 15. Considering his Burst is one of his biggest sources of AoE Electro damage, this constellation adds noticeable raw power.
C4: Night on Bald Mountain
Gives Flins a 20% ATK increase and upgrades his passive Whispering Flame, raising his Elemental Mastery scaling to 10% of ATK (up to 220).
This constellation shifts him into an even stronger reaction driver, making his Lunar-Charged damage scale better with his stat build.
C5: Exile’s Shadow
Increases the level of Flins’s Elemental Skill by three, with a maximum upgrade of 15.
Much like C3, it’s a straightforward buff, but since his Skill transforms into Northland Spearstorm, this makes his uptime and damage in that state much stronger.
C6: Songs and Dances of Death
Flins’s Lunar-Charged reactions deal 30% more damage, and all party members also get a 10% boost to Lunar-Charged damage while he’s on the field.
Not only does this make him a top-tier DPS, but it also turns him into a team-wide reaction enabler.
If you’re a free-to-play or low-spender, C0 Flins is still perfectly strong cause his base kit gives you plenty of Electro firepower.
Meanwhile, C2 seriously boosts Flins’s performance with better resistance shred and more AoE damage, and it’s a huge improvement.
And if you want to make the biggest splash, C6 is super strong, letting Flins stand out as both a main damage dealer and a vital team member.
