Season 4 Release Date

Season 4 officially launches on September 12, 2025. The update kicks off with the “Heart of the Dragon” theme, which draws inspiration from mystical Marvel lore, complete with dragon motifs, glowing cosmic skins, and a heavy focus on vertical combat.

Like previous seasons, Season 4 is set to last around 10 weeks, with two major phases of content drops, including events, hero spotlights, and balance patches.

New Hero: Angela

The biggest headline of Season 4 is undoubtedly Angela, the celestial warrior from Heven. She enters as the game’s first true flying Vanguard, with insane crowd control to help her team.

Angela’s Full Kit Breakdown

Primary Attacks:

Spear of Ichors lets her lunge forward in both air and ground states, dealing heavy single-target damage.

Axes of Ichors chain into a four-hit combo, with the last strike dashing forward—perfect for sticking to enemies once grounded.

Ultimate – Heven’s Retribution:

Throws her spear to bind enemies. Angela can leap to the spear, detonating a Divine Judgement Zone that locks down an area and sets up massive teamfight combos.

Assassin’s Charge (Shift):

A high-speed dash immune to knockbacks, carrying enemies hit along the way.

Wingblade Ascent & Divine Judgement (E):

Swap stance between air and ground. From the sky, she dive-bombs to create a zone that boosts speed and grants bonus health to her team.

Shielded Stance (RMB):

Summons a shield that absorbs incoming damage while charging her next attacks.

Passive – Seraphic Soar:

Angela builds attack power the longer she stays airborne, making her a terror for extended aerial duels.

Marvel Rivals Season 4 New Map

The new map in Marvel Rivals Season 4 is called K’un Lun: Heart of Heaven. This is a Convergence map, meaning it combines both Capture Point and Payload mechanics. However, Heart of Heaven won’t be available right at the start of Season 4, it’s scheduled to release on September 25, 2025.

Visually, the map offers a vibrant and bright atmosphere with strong Eastern influences. Honestly, it is such a refreshing change of scenery after the darker tone of Season 3.5.

New Arcade Mode

Another part of Marvel Rivals Season 4 is a new game mode category called “Arcade.” Through Arcade mode, players can access six different game types, with some being new while others are returning favorites from past Seasons. While many were once limited-time modes for specific events, they are now match types players can queue into freely.

The Arcade modes arriving with Season 4’s launch date are:

  • Free Fight
  • Conquest (Annihilation)
  • Clone Rumble
  • Giant-Sized Brain Blast
  • Conquest
  • Doom Match

Conquest modes were available before, as well as Doom Match, but Clone Rumble and Giant-Sized Brain Blast in Marvel Rivals are matches players haven’t been able to participate in for months. Clone Rumble sees no restrictions on the same hero for a team, while Giant-Sized Brain Blast is a funny game mode that puts cartoonishly huge heads on random heroes. Definitely a fun one to play with the gang.

Free Fight is also a newer mode, where players can participate in normal matches, but with no hero restrictions. Unlike Clone Rumble, which picks two characters at random for players to select, Free Fight allows teams to mix and match whatever duplicate combinations they want into their squads.

Additionally, Season 4 begins with a new event called Scroll of the Immortal Beasts, which will likely introduce new missions or challenges for players to complete. The main reward from this event is a new skin for Ultron, so make sure you grind it!

Marvel Rivals Season 4 Events & Battle Pass

The Season 4 Battle Pass is themed around the Heart of the Dragon, featuring cosmic, draconic, and martial arts-inspired designs.

Highlights include:

  • Tier 1: Dragon Emblem Spray & Profile Icon
  • Tier 25: “Cosmic Moon Knight” skin
  • Tier 50: “Heart of the Dragon Angela” legendary skin
  • Free Track: Event Tokens and Boosts

Meanwhile, the Heart of the Dragon Event adds weekly quests tied to Kunlun lore and relic hunts, with rewards including:

  • Scarlet Witch – Mystic Flame Variant
  • Moon Knight – Cosmic Serpent Skin
  • Spider-Man – Dragonweb Suit

There are also smaller cosmetics like profile cards, weapon skins, and themed victory poses, the usual stuff we’d expect from a new Marvel Rivals season.

Marvel Rivals Season 4 Buffs & Nerfs
