About Magic Chess: Go Go

Magic Chess: Go Go is a multiplayer strategy auto battler developed and published by Moonton, where eight players face off on a shared chessboard in real-time PvP matches. The game is out now and free to play: it launched worldwide in May 2025 alongside Season 2: Blessing of Embers and keeps growing with new seasons, including Season 5, which added the GOGO MOBA and Go Go Plaza modes. You can play it on Android through Google Play and on iOS through the App Store, and it is also playable on PC through Google Play Games for PC. Every match asks you to recruit familiar Moonton heroes, build smart lineups, and outlast the other seven strategists round after round.

Gameplay and Commander System of Magic Chess: Go Go

Each match in Magic Chess: Go Go runs over several rounds until only one strategist is left standing. You spend coins to recruit heroes, merge duplicate copies into higher star levels, and place them carefully on the board. Deploying heroes that share a faction or role activates synergy buffs, and at key stages you choose Go Go Cards that can swing a fight in your favour. Season 2 expanded the system to 10 active synergies and introduced the Blessing mechanic for Ultra Synergy bonuses, so the game rewards planning and adaptability, with a little luck, far more than fast reflexes. Beyond the classic Arena, you can play Tag Team with a partner, jump into the GOGO MOBA commander arena, or hang out in the Go Go Plaza social hub, and the game also has an esports scene headlined by the GO1 World Championship.

Commanders, Heroes, and Seasonal Progression

Before every match you pick a Commander, and each one brings exclusive tactical skills that shape your strategy. The roster includes Tharz, Lukas, Aamon, Guinevere, Lancelot, Valir, Gusion, and Zilong, who received a Special skin in Season 5. On the board you recruit heroes such as Masha, Wanwan, Tigreal, Gatotkaca, and Belerick, then combine them into faction synergies like Dragon Altar and Moniyan Plains or role synergies like Marksman, Weapon Master, and Defender. Season 5 added fresh synergies including Neobeasts, Exorcist, Mystic Meow, and Heartbond, so the meta shifts with every new season. Keeping a healthy balance of Magic Chess: Go Go Diamonds makes it easier to grab new Commander skins, Weekly Pass rewards, and seasonal cosmetics as soon as they arrive.
