About Magic Chess: Go Go

Magic Chess: Go Go is a free-to-play multiplayer strategy auto battler developed and published by Moonton, where eight players compete in PvP matches on their own chessboards until only one strategist is left. The game is fully released following its global launch in May 2025, and you can play it on Android through Google Play, on iOS through the App Store, and on PC with Google Play Games. Set in Moonton's hero universe, it rewards tactics more than fast reflexes: you recruit heroes, choose a Commander, stack faction Synergies and adjust your lineup round after round to outlast every opponent.

Gameplay and Commander System of Magic Chess: Go Go

Every match puts you against seven other players over several rounds. You recruit heroes, merge copies to raise their star and ascension levels, place them on the board and activate faction Synergies for buffs, with Ultra Synergy unlocking once all Synergies of the season are active. The Blessing mechanic adds extra Synergy or Role bonuses when three or more identical heroes reach the same ascension level, and Go Go Cards chosen at key stages add fresh strategy with a touch of luck. Later updates brought the Magic Auction system, and Season 5 added GOGO MOBA, an arena mode with Commanders and jump traversal, plus Go Go Plaza, a social hub with Battle Emotes, photos and team trains.

Heroes, Commanders and Progression

Your lineup comes from a large roster of heroes, while your Commander brings its own active and passive skills that can change your whole game plan. Ling opens a Showdown dueling ring, Aamon works with Mirror Device shards, and Zilong, Wanwan, Kagura, Chou, Angela, Moskov, Miya and Lukaz each offer their own playstyle. Original Commanders such as Tharz with his Feast and Gluttony shop skills, Abe, Mavis, Buss, Rya, Asta, Eggie, Pao, Yuki, Connie and Bersi add even more variety, and new seasons keep the meta moving with Synergies like Neobeasts, Exorcist, Mystic Meow and Heartbond. Diamonds are how you grow your collection over time, whether you are unlocking a new Commander, picking up a skin or joining seasonal events like Golden Month Kitchen, a cooking mini-game that rewards a free Zilong Special skin.
