Marvel Rivals Season 3 Update Patch Notes

Season 3 is reworking the entire meta with hero buffs, nerfs, ability tweaks, and fresh team-up changes that’ll completely flip your gameplay. Ready to see who’s on top and who’s getting dunked?
New Heroes: Phoenix & Blade Crash the Party
Check out and welcome these new heroes, because what’s a Marvel season without fresh faces?
- Phoenix (Jean Grey)
Dropping day one, Jean Grey brings the Phoenix Force to your squad.

She’s a ranged Duelist who can ruin the enemy’s day with massive damage and her signature chain reaction mechanic.
Her Ultimate is a team-wiper that also banishes enemy summons, kiss those annoying pets goodbye.
- Blade
Half-human, half-vampire, all attitude.

Blade joins the fight halfway through Season 3 (remember, seasons are now two months, so that’s just four weeks in).
He’s another Duelist who’s gonna slash through symbiotes like it’s happy hour at a blood bar.
New Map & Content: Klyntar and Beyond

Season 3 is also getting a brand-new symbiote-themed Klyntar map that oozes Venom vibes.
Expect dark corridors, slimy visuals, and more places to ambush clueless enemies.
There’s also a mysterious new Competitive Mode dropping in Season 3.5, so keep your eyes peeled for those sweaty ranked lobbies.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 Skins: Venom, Phoenix & All the Drip

Want your heroes to look as deadly as they play? Season 3’s got you covered:
- Emma Frost is flexing a Phoenix Force costume while cuddling a Venomized Jeff the Land Shark.
- Rocket Raccoon, Squirrel Girl (+ Tippy Toe) are rocking their Symbiote styles.
- There’s even a glimpse of Symbiote Storm, yes, free if you complete missions.
- Hero accessories are here, too! Trick out your faves like Winter Soldier, Psylocke, Groot, and more with unique add-ons.
And for the ultimate flex, unlock Ultimate VFX to soup up your abilities with insane visuals; visible only to you, but style points matter.
Battle Pass & Mission Overhaul
With shorter seasons, NetEase is tweaking how you grind:
- Daily Missions? Gone.
- Weekly Missions? Stick around ‘til the season ends.
- Season Missions? New long-term goals packed with Chrono Tokens for faster battle pass progression.
No extra cost for the pass, just more loot for the same price. Good deal, huh?
Other Cool Stuff: MVPs, Discord & College Perks
Season 3 also packs in a bunch of quality-of-life upgrades that make your time in Marvel Rivals feel way smoother.
For starters, MVP animations are getting a massive upgrade. Now, you can mix and match any MVP animation with any hero costume you own.
No more restrictions tying animations to specific skins, which means you can show off your sickest moves no matter what your character is wearing.
Another neat update is the lobby makeover. Your team lobby will now display the equipped hero costume, making your squad lineup look even more badass when queueing up.

The Gallery also got a nice overhaul, making it easier to browse through your collections and drool over skins you’re saving Chrono Tokens for.
Post-match screens are getting streamlined too. Once you finish a match, you’ll notice a cleaner results page that shows your level progress, battle pass status, mission completions, and other goodies in a faster, clearer way.
And, ongoing events now have their dedicated tab on the main menu, so you don’t have to dig around just to find which limited-time mission you’re procrastinating on.
Also, there’s something unexpected–college student perks. If you’re a verified college or university student, you can access trials for up to ten skins for free.
It’s rolling out gradually, starting with the US and UK, but honestly, what a sweet bonus for grinding between classes.
Finally, Discord integration is getting tighter. With this season, you can chat directly with your Discord friends from inside the game client itself, making it easier to coordinate team comps, roast your support player, or just vibe together before queueing into another sweaty match.

Hero Balance Update in Marvel Rivals Season 3
We all know, no update is complete without stirring the meta pot. Marvel Rivals Season 3 is bringing a chunky balance patch to keep your matches spicy.
Who’s stronger? Who’s crying in the corner? Let’s break it down.
Vanguard Changes

- Emma Frost: Telepathic Pulse damage is getting shaved down a bit, and Diamond Form’s damage reduction is nerfed from 30% to 25%. But her Ultimate (Psionic Seduction) now costs less energy, so you can still mess with enemies’ heads more often.
- The Thing: New ability alert! Battle Blitz lets him leap at enemies with 25% damage reduction while jumping up to 20m. His Stone Haymaker also knocks down flying enemies now.
- Venom: His Cellular Corrosion’s slow is buffed from 15% to 25%. Expect everyone to feel stickier when he’s on the prowl.
Duelist Changes

- Human Torch: Damage from Fire Cluster slightly reduced, and his Supernova shockwave got a nerf. But he gains a 5% damage boost through Team-Up Anchors, so it balances out for clutch plays.
- Iron Man: Repulsor Blast hits are weaker while in Armor Overdrive, and Invincible Pulse Cannon’s Ultimate energy cost went up. He’ll need to work harder to flex those big lasers now.
- Mister Fantastic: Inflated State bonus health reduced from 400 to 350. Slightly squishier, but still stretchy.
- Namor: Minor but satisfying buffs: Trident projectile damage up from 70 to 75, and projectile speeds are faster.
- Scarlet Witch: Her Reality Erasure Ultimate damage got a sweet buff, but its slow effect was reduced. Less annoying for enemies, deadlier for their HP bars.
- Spider-Man: All his kicks and combos deal more damage now. Webheads rejoice, Spidey’s got some sting in those punches.
- Punisher: Turret and Spell Field damage are slightly nerfed, and Final Judgement Ultimate costs more energy. Less cheese, more skill needed.
- Winter Soldier: Roterstern damage falloff at max range increases, meaning you gotta aim smarter.
- Wolverine: Feral Leap strike duration got longer (from 4s to 5s), but so did its cooldown (from 12s to 15s).
Strategist Changes

- Invisible Woman: Orb Projection heals more on launch but slightly less on return, with damage tweaked to match. Balanced invisibility support.
- Loki: His Ultimate energy cost went up; pranks cost more mana now, sorry, God of Mischief.
- Mantis: Healing Flower now heals by 2.5% per second instead of flat numbers, and her Ultimate costs more but gives better max health buffs.
- Ultron: Dynamic Flight’s acceleration time is down. Imperative: Firewall bonus health reduced a bit. He’s still deadly, just slightly less tanky.
Team-Up Changes
Two new combos are lighting up Season 3:
- Ever-Burning Bond (Human Torch + Spider-Man): Torch gets a 5% damage boost, while Spidey unlocks Inferno Blast for flaming fun.
- Primal Flame (Phoenix + Wolverine): Phoenix gains 10% damage, and Wolverine unlocks the Phoenix Warrior ability.
Some Team-Ups, like ESU Alumnus, got removed, while others, like Symbiote Shenanigans and Stark Protocol, were updated to include more heroes or longer effects.
