Mobile Legends Heroes List 2026: All 133 for S42

Land of Dawn just hit ten years old and the roster is fat. If you opened the hero select screen this week and thought “wait, when did we get this many,” you’re not late; you just blinked through three new faces.

Here’s the clean Mobile Legends heroes list for S42, checked against the live server count, role tags, and what players are actually seeing in draft right now.

How Many Heroes are in Mobile Legends Right Now?

133 playable heroes on the Original Server. That’s the number that matters as of mid-September 2026. Season 41 (Scarlet Embers) is wrapping up, and Season 42, Starward Decade, the 10th Anniversary season, kicks off September 16.

The newest live hero is still Hirara, the Fallen Scarlet, Assassin #133, who dropped June 17, 2026.

Nothing has shipped past her yet. If an article you’re reading says 130 or 132, it stopped updating a while back. Quick cheat sheet on the last few:

The game launched with 10 heroes in 2016. Ten years later the lobby looks like a family reunion poster, and Moonton still averages roughly one new hero every three months.

S42 Reality Check: New Season, Not Automatically a New Hero

This is where a lot of comment sections argue. S42 is a celebration patch, not a guaranteed “new kit drops day one” patch. The headline items are:

• Eight classic heroes getting anniversary looks
• Masha getting an actual skill revamp
• Sanctum Island getting a visual refresh
• A seasonal skin drop (Popol and Kupa, “Flamehide Thane”) plus a Starward Decade avatar border.

The eight getting the glow-up: Masha, Bruno, Clint, Brody, Paquito, Badang, Kadita, Luo Yi. Masha is the only real kit rewrite; wounds push her into a Feral state, enhanced basics turn into AoE claw swipes, and her first skill animation got faster.

The other seven are remodels and polish, not new mechanics, so don’t expect seven Fanny-level reworks.

Dori is the name floating around as hero #134: a Mage on Advance Server with knockback, slow, and stun ring skills.

She isn’t confirmed for Original Server yet, so treat her as Advance Server only until she shows up in your live hero tab.

The 6 Roles, No Lecture

Mobile Legends still runs on six roles, and a lot of heroes carry two tags. Draft the lane job, not the first word on the card.

Role Math (Why Sites Disagree)

Counting dual tags, the September 2026 split looks like this: 44 Fighters, 32 Mages, 29 Assassins, 25 Tanks, 23 Marksmen, 15 Supports.

That adds up to more than 133 because hybrid heroes get counted in two buckets; the hero count on the server is still 133.

Some sites report slightly different numbers because they sort duals differently; it’s the same roster, different spreadsheet.

Female heroes sat at 53 as of late August 2026, a little under half the roster, with representation in every role.

The Last Four MLBB Heroes, the Ones People Still Lock Wrong

Obsidia, Sovereign of Dark’s End (#130, Marksman, Gold). Void-family energy alongside Dyrroth and Thamuz. Her Bone Shards stack so basics hit extra times, and she’s been a steady high-tier gold pick all year.

Sora, Shifting Cloud (#131, Fighter/Assassin, EXP). His ultimate flips between Thunder and Torrent, and hits stack Cloudstep. He reads like a jungler on paper, but most players still lock him EXP because the kit wants lane pressure.

Marcel, Soul Photographer (#132, Support, Roam). Not another Estes. He freezes fights with stasis zones and shields through his camera companion, Clemar, a tempo roamer, not a healer, and a common high-priority ban.

Hirara, Fallen Scarlet (#133, Assassin, Jungle). Two weapons, two skills, one drag-combo. Her crowd-control immunity window is exactly why she feels miserable to lock down, and she remains the newest live hero until #134 ships.

Lane Map, the Version That Wins Games

• Gold Lane: Marksmen. Last hits pay extra; don’t abandon it for four minutes and then complain about items.
• Mid: Mages. First rotate off the mid lane usually wins early turtles.
• Jungle: Assassins, plus a handful of fighters like Fredrinn, Alpha, and Balmond. Retribution isn’t optional.
• EXP: Fighters. The whole point is a level lead.
• Roam: Tank or Support. You’re buying map control, not a kill streak.

Some heroes break the textbook on purpose: Edith flexes gold or EXP, Kimmy goes mid or gold, Selena plays roam or mid, and Mathilda roams like an assassin.

That flexibility is part of why 133 names don’t mean 133 identical jobs.

What the Scene is Talking about Heading into S42

The anniversary energy is real. Moonton’s official group-portrait film for the roster set off the usual comment-section archaeology: “where’s Natalia,” “Silvanna standing next to Dyrroth like actual siblings”, which is very on-brand for this community.

Masha mains especially should lab before the patch lands: wounds now flip her into a Feral state, enhanced basics become AoE claw swipes, and her animations got tightened up. Old split-push Masha habits won’t carry over cleanly.

Late-S41 win-rate data had roam and support names: Rafaela, Gloo, Minotaur, Estes, Floryn, and Marcel sitting comfortably at the top, while gold-lane talk still circled Melissa, Obsidia, Beatrix, and Granger.

Hirara kept high jungle presence even without being the cleanest win-rate pick. None of that is gospel; the ranked reset on the 16th, plus Masha’s rework, will shuffle things fast, so treat any tier list from before the patch as expired.

Stuff Worth Knowing if You Collect, Not Just Rank

• Launch-era heroes are cheap; a few hundred to a couple thousand BP. Modern heroes usually sit around 32,000 BP or roughly 599 diamonds.
• The weekly free rotation and Starlight both borrow heroes regularly, so nobody actually needs all 133 to compete.
• Older marksmen and assassins (Miya, Fanny, Lesley, Chou, Gusion, Lancelot) carry the deepest skin libraries; new heroes start small and build up over time.
• Solid first-week locks that still hold up: Layla, Miya, Eudora, Nana, Tigreal, Akai, Franco, Balmond, Zilong, Freya, Rafaela, Clint.

You don’t need the full roster on week one. You need two comfort picks per lane you actually queue.
