Ranked play in CS2 and achieving CS2 ranks uses a map-based ranking system that allows you to select a set of maps and run them through each one by one. This is reminiscent of the legacy CSGO, where the ranking system feels linear in progression. Competitive Mode also allows you to progress quicker, with some players reporting to have reached the Distinguished Master Guardian Rank after only ten games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that the rank you’ve achieved on one map does not translate to other maps. This encourages players to study each map and play differently almost each time. This is also a great way to climb up the CS2 ranks in a more structured manner, where you play each of your favorite maps consecutively, preparing you for the Premier Mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
